Rincón de Guayabitos sits on Jaltemba Bay, in the northern Riviera Nayarit, next to La Peñita and Los Ayala. Distances are in a straight line from the hotel; Sayulita and San Pancho are about 40 minutes away by car and Puerto Vallarta an hour and a half.

A bay of light sand and gentle waves, one of the most family-friendly on Mexico's Pacific coast. Swimming is calm most of the year, and sightseeing boats leave right from the sand.
The islet you see from the hotel. Boats leave from Guayabitos beach itself: snorkeling among colorful fish, a tiny beach and, from December to March, whales along the way.
Los Ayala is the next beach to the south, smaller and quiet, with Playa del Beso tucked behind the hill. La Peñita, to the north, is the neighboring town, with more local life.

The surf villages of the Riviera Nayarit, about 40 minutes south: streets hung with papel picado, Huichol crafts, tacos and surf schools. Lo de Marcos, 12.6 km away, is on the way.

A national park off Punta de Mita, with the Hidden Beach inside a crater and a daily visitor cap. Tours leave from Punta de Mita or Sayulita: allow about an hour to get there.

An hour and a half down Highway 200: the Malecón with its bronze sculptures, the Guadalupe church and the Zona Romántica. A good day trip, or a place for your first or last night near the airport.
